Her Speech

Hillary Clintons speech was nothing but a big show.  I seem to be a lot of fluff and did not, in my opinion, achieve its objective.  The objective of this speech was to unite the party.  The fact is that there are a lot of disaffected Hillary voters simply will not vote for Obama.

Those such voters may very well stay home or possible vot for John McCain.  If those voters do,  it could tun the election.

What Are They Doing.

There are five republicans in the U.S. Senate that are trying to cut the republicans in the U.S. House and their presidential candidate off at the knees.  That is the wrong thing to do. The republicans on the gang of 10 (Lindsey Graham, John Thune, Saxby Chambliss, Bob Corker and Johnny Isakson) are idiots.  This is a big issue for the party and they may very well have blunted it.

Why is that the Rhinos are trying to sabotage th party?  This is not a rhetorical question. There is an answer and it is that they feel that they have to capitulate to the democrats.  This is a wrong headed feeling.  I would rather have the federal government shut down then to have thes so-called republicans give the democrats every thing that they want.

What's Next For The Congress

We are seeing the deadlock over oil in the congress. I tend to believe that nothing will get done until after the election, if it gets done at all.

The democrats do not want to give the republicans a win and they don't want Barak Obama votin on he issue.  The know that if he does, and whatever he votes that it will be used against him in the election.  They also don't want him to vote against the kook, fringe, left of the democrat party.  They kow that if he does, it will be a huge problem.

It is also a fact that they are the ones that want to solve this oil problem even though the way that they intend to solve it is wrong.  They want to focus strictly on renewable energies.  The fact is that this is an oil driven society.  Oil definitely runs the engine of freedom and it wiill continue to do so for the forseeable future.  We are awash in oil.  Sure, I want to see renewables come online as soon as possible, but it will take longer to get those things going than it will to get the oil.

What Does He Have To Do

Johne McCain just can't catch a break.  We know that the drive-bys ar in the tank for Obama.  It does not matter what he does or says  there will be little of no coveage.  McCain almost has to be arrested to get covered.

It is a problem because  he is a candidate for the most imporatant office in the world.  I mince no words. The people in the rest of the world may not like it but they know that it is the truth.  P.O.T.U.S.'s decisions affect the entire world. Again, the world  may not like it but they need to live with it.

I think that the coverage will change during the debates.  McCain is much better at "off the cuff" comments.  The savior Obama dose not do well without a teleprompter.  Obama is the total definition of a Manchurian Candiate of an emty suit.

He (Obama) is not a new democrat he is your typical, old-style democrat.  He wants to tax the country to death.  He wants Socialized Medicine.  He want to expand all the government.  That scares me the most.

Just Shut Up.

The Louisiana Legislature needs to shut their pie holes.  They are running off at the mouth an have hade diharrea of the mouth.  If they keep spewing their misinformation then the people in their respective will get tired of it and throw their respective legislators out.

These people just remain not to get it.  They just don't understand that they got beat and lost big.  They got too greedy and it showed. They definitely overeached on this matter.  The majority of these legislators are just so arrogant and in their arrogance they just don't understand that because of Katrina and Rita the people are looking more closely at their particular legislators.

Their greed showed and continues to show.  The cry about having to sleep in their cars.  That, too, is misinformation.  They continually complain about having to come down and do their jobs.  If they did not want this then they should not have decided no to run.  They knew what they were getting into.  The more that they keep talking the less they will be able to get any type of a raise.  I think that some of the legislators understand that but there are just not enough of them that do understand.  There are still "good veterans" in office.  These people are not what they say that they are. They are pare of the network.  They know how to "run the systen,"  because they have been doing it for twenty, thirty, or forty years.

One Thing Or Another

Things are getting real confusing.  On the one hand there are the the pundits that say that this will be a big democratic year with the democrats picking up seats in both houses of congress and also the White House.  Then there are polls that say that the people of this fair country are very unhappy with the way congress conducts itself.  The Rasmussen Poll, a very reputable poll, says that the congresses  popularity is at historic (9%) lows.  This is all due to one thing, gas prices.

I think that there is coming a major come-upance  for these political pundits.  If they don't get their act together then they might look as bad as they did in 2000.

How can majority party that has "lead" congress into the worst popularity ever be expected to hang on to congress?  They should not.  If the bumbling and stumbling republicans can get their acts together, then they can beat the stew out the dems and possibly get enough seats in both houses to pass things that will help the nation.

There has been a prediction by one of these tel-evangelists (Reverend Perry Stone) that there is a growing resntment and backlash toward the environmental movement.   If this is going to be the case, then it will be much easier to pass thing that will help with our energy crisis.

Core Beliefs

What are Barak Obamas core beliefs. There are many, like myself, that believe that he is an out and out socialist.

You only have to look at some of the programs that he is putting forward.  Nationalized health care, for one.  This will be one of the biggest boondoggles ever devised.  It will take one-third of the U.S. economy and put in under the rule of the government.  It has been proven that everywhere it has been tried that nationalized health care does not work.  In places like Britain and Canada there are lines of people waiting to get medical services.  People in those countries usually end up coming to America for their medical care.  He wants to raise taxes on the "richest" Americans.  This, too, will kill the economy.  It will stop people from making capital investments in their businesses.  This means there will be less hirings and more layoffs.  Those are just a few examples of what would ultimately be Obama policy.

That is what should actuallly scare you.

Needs

The fact that, it seems that it seems that we can't get republicans to act like republicans is not so all appalint.  It seems as if there are more and more rhinos.  That is a scary thing.  It this keeps up, then the GOP will change forever.  That too is a scary thing,

The GOP once stood for conservative things.  It is slowly losing that feel.  We have seen, at the state a federa level, so called "big government" conservatives.  These are not conservatives at all.  What they are are democrats in conservative clothing.  They want to build a big covernment when a true repulican usually goes the other way in favor of less government.

The current crop of republicans are panzies.  They don't see to want to fight for their beliefs.  They let democrats redefine words that should not be redefined.  It appeas that they let the dems tell them what is on and off limits and this neuters the GOP.  A good example of this is the fact that McCain won't use Jerimiah Wright and others agains Obama for fear that he will calle a racist.  That is not being a racist, that is using the truth agains a political opponent.

I am not so sure that this proble will correct itself until there is a younger grop of republicans.

What is He

Obama has all but said that he wants to serve as a blank slate.  He wants to be evevything to all people.  When someone says that you have to watch out that he or she does not go hard in the other direction.  The people who believ in him, better look out becauase they may be in for a major disapointment.

This man is a hard left radical.  He hates the military.  He wants to raise taxes.  This is a person will rule by polls and not by his gut.  That is not the type of person that we need as President.   We need a President that will do what is right for the nation even at the cost of his personal popularity.  I am not so sure that Obama will do that.

I am not so sure that he has the moral character and intestinal fortitude to break with the environmental movement if the polls say that he should.  If the polls, as they do now, say that we should drill, I have no confidence that he will listen.  He will remain galatically deaf.  On this issue the people may have to drag him by the nose, like Lousisanan's did with Bobby Jindal with the issue of legilative pay raises.  We will also need to work with the congress.  I think that this will be a much eaiser thing because I think that there will be enough of a backlash against the environmentlists that the pundits will be wrong about the Democrats will not win a vast majority of the seats in congress.

Dragging

Governor Bobby Jindal has finally vetoed the legislative pay raises.  It is about damn time.  The people of this state, the same people that overwhelmingly elected him had to pull him kicking and screaming over to our side of the issue.

I firmly believe that it was the threat of a recall that gave him a spine.  In getting a spine, it may cost him some of his agenda.  If the things that he proposes meet with the peoples approval, he needs to let us take care of our repsective legislators.  These people are geedy and selfserving.  They are not there to work for the good of the people that elected them, they are there to put more and more featheres in their respective caps.  It has been this way for forty plus years.

The Governor needs to keep a stiff upper lip and to continue to fight for the reforms that he promised when he was running as 'campaign' Bobby.

Total Recall

It now appears that the people of Louisiana have been awaken from their long slumber.    For a long time they have been oblibious to what the Good Old Boys were doing to them.  There were a lot of them that simply did not care about how the state appeared and they kept electing the thugs that kept the state at the bottom of every conceivable list.

When an adult mother gets enough of her own kids, she will utter the fanouse prase "I have hade enough of this."  This means that if she is frustrated with said kids that have been acting up then she is about to disciplene them.  That is exactly what is happening with the arrogance that is the political eleite in this state.  The tipping point was the legilative pay raises.  The lesislature was arrogant enough that they thought that after the screwed the people on the Stelley Tax cut that they beleived that they would be able to slip this in under the radar.  They were dead wrong.  We see that there are a number of recall petitions that have been filed with the Louisisana Secretary of States Office.  I firmly believe that if the govern does not show any spine  and veto the bill, that he has sealed his political fate.  The next election will be lost and his star will sink faster than the Titanic.

Why would you make a promise to these politicans that the people sent you there to fight?  The fact of the matter is that in some respects that Bobby Jindal has been a big disappointment.  He may, very well, be the best governot that we have had in a while, but if he keeps making mistakes, he might be relegated to the ash bend of history as just another failure of a governor of louisiana that tryied to fix things but got swallowed up in the wash..

Leases

When we start to talk about going and get our own oil. what do the national democrats that lead the party say?

"The oil companies have millions of acres of land in leases the we should use first."

The problem with that is what if there is no oil on those particular leases?

The seem to want one of two things to happen.  Either they don't want any drilling or they want to send the oil companies to sites where there is a creat chance that there is no oil what so ever.  Oil companies are in the business of making money.  To that extent, why would they want to waste money drilling where there, is a hige probability, there is no oil.

Stay Out O My Wallet

We have a good feeling of what a Barak Obama presidency would do to each and evey one of the people of the country.  It would lighten  our wallets.  Don't say that this is not true because, other than JFK, everytin that a democrat has become presiedent, our taxes have risen.

The failure that was Jimmy Carter raised taxes.  It took the Renaldus Magnus to come in and over the course of eight years to lower taxes. When Reagan did this there was un precidented grout in the economy.  As I was gowing up in the period, it just seemd to me that everyone that wanted a job had one.  People were makeing money hand over fist.  Bill Clinton tried to rais taxes but as soon as the republicans took over congress, they forced him to lower the ones that he had raised.

Barak Obama has flat-out said that he wants to get rid of President Bush's tax cuts.  He also wants to raise the cap gains.  He is in favor of the stupidity that is the Winfalls Profit Tax.  He wants to raise taxes on buisnesses.  All of this together will give a tax rate of 60%.  That means that .60 of every dollar that you will earn will go to the federal government.  That does not take in to account the state and local taxes that are already levied.

I have said it before and I will say even louder now:

"BARAK OBAMA, STAY OUT OF MY AND THE WALLETS OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE."

War Weary

It is true that this country is war weary, but they are not so war weary that they would hurt the military by wanting to pull out of Iraq early.  That would cause another Vietnam.  The American people do not want that to happen.

I think that the people that want out of Iraq are a vocal miority.  These people are the holdoveres of the 196's anti war movement.  The are of a certain age, that came of age in the late sixties early seventies.  The further away from the Vietnam War that country gets, the fewer people from that era that run for office.  The ones that remain in office are getting older and soon may decide to retire.  As long as there are sixties holdovers in office, the anti-war groups will remain strong.

Most American do not want to see the U.S. militaty come off lookin as bad as it did after that war.  It took until the first gulf war for our military to get its grove and swagger back.  It took until the late 1980's for the country tostrt to get over the Vietnam War and to start to recognize the sacrifice that those men went through.

I have said this in many other places.  The American military is the ultimat sports team.  I would wager to say that most Americans have a favorite sports team.  I would also say that they feel better when that particular team win rather that when it loses.  The Amereican want to see a strong military with its confidence high.  The ability needs to be there for them to have equipment and the training to win in any situation they are sent into.  I fear that if there is the democratic sweep that every one is predicting, then there is a more thatn a fair shot that the military budget will be seriosly slashed. This will lead to a serious decline in the skill and ability of our fine fighting men and women.  That would be a sad state of affairs.

Oil, Oil, Oil

It is time for serios thinkers.  The thoughts that we need to be having are strictly about oil.  How we can can more of it, how soon can we get it, and where will it come from.

There is no doubt in my mind that at some point in the future there will come a time when we will completely be off of the current liquid that drives the engine of freedom and demcrocracy.  The question is just how long will it take us to develope the alternatives that will allow us toget off of oil.  Those allternatives need to also be economically feasible.  If they are not, then the American general publid will not take to them.

What  the democrats, their willing accomplices int the mainstream press, and the environmentalist wackos don't get is that the tide of American thought is in very quick  fashion turning against them.  The gacts of the matter state that 60% of the American public now want to drill as soon as possible.  There will come a time when there will be a serious backlash against the far left envrionmentalists.  These people have, since the 1970's, contiually conspired to hurt this great country.  They care more about the lives of animals then the health of our great country.  If that movement keeps going along in the same directions, then it will marginalize itself just like the womens movement has.
